A pickup truck crashed into the front of the Palo Mesa Pizza restaurant in the Village of Arroyo Grande.
It happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday at the corner of W. Branch St. and Wesley St.
According to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, no one inside the building or any pedestrians were injured. The two people in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
“I’m a little shocked, a little stunned, but I’m grateful because it could have been a lot worse. Nobody was hurt. They didn’t hit the gas line,” said Palo Mesa Pizza owner Kelly Stevens. “I’m thankful that we have other pizzerias, you know, that can sustain our family, hopefully, cause I don’t know how long we’ll be closed.”
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
