Two collisions are causing backups on HWY 101 southbound in Santa Maria

A crash on Highway 101 southbound is creating a backup this morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Honda sedan collided with a silver Volvo sedan; the Honda ended up in the ditch off the roadway. Both drivers are reportedly uninjured and on the scene cooperating.

Officers are sharing details on a second traffic collision between a green Toyota Venza and a great unknown vehicle. One person is currently being medically evaluated.
