Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Republican Sen. JD Vance will go head-to-head Tuesday night in what will likely be the only vice presidential debate before the November presidential election.

The 90-minute “CBS News Vice Presidential Debate Simulcast” will air Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Scripps News. CBS News anchors Norah ODonnell and Margaret Brennan will moderate the event from New York.

Each candidate will get two minutes to answer questions, two minutes to deliver rebuttals, and one minute for responses or follow-ups as granted. Moderators can also mute the candidates’ microphones when it is not their turn to speak. Walz and Vance will not be allowed any pre-written notes or props on stage.

A team of Scripps News journalists will be monitoring the debate for claims that are false, misleading or require more context.

Check back in here for updates once the debate gets underway.
